Any online slot game that opens itself up with a graphically pleasing and entertaining video package is a sure fire to be something appealing on the whole in our opinion, and that’s exactly what you’re presented with in this offering from Playson. In fact, this one is so rich in graphics and video displays that it takes a considerable amount of time to completely load up, which can pose a bit of a threat to slot sites that adopt the game as well as anyone who is eager to start playing. However, if you do have the patience to wait for it to load up, you’ll be presented with a wonderful slot game, taking on the role of a burglar who has to try and sneak his way through all the rooms of a grand mansion, looting the place as he goes. But, of course, any mansion as grand as this one has its very own security, so you’ll need to be on the lookout for security guards and other such features, which will stop you dead in your tracks. And, as you play the game, you’ll be accompanied by a very apt piece of soundtrack music at the same time.

Become the Stealthiest Robber Around

The overall layout of the game is presented, as noted, in the form of a mansion, which incorporates five reels and three rows into it. This is a fairly standard interface in general for an online slot game to present, but the icons that are included offer up some familiarity as well as some novel treats. The first of its icons are in the form of the regular A, J, K and Q offerings, and each of these incorporates a valuable item on it, like the vase or a masquerade mask. These symbols are joined by others, such as the museum, the security guard, the Egyptian mummy, a statue bust and the bejewelled crown. There’s also the addition of the security phone as the lowest paying icon alongside.

Apart from these reels, rows and icons, players also have the chance to place wagers on a total of 21 different pay lines. These are fixed in position as they are, but gamers do have the option of changing their bet around, with the total bet box being displayed at the bottom of the screen. This can be altered by using the available arrow buttons to move it between its minimum of £0.21 and its maximum of £63 per round. There’s also a ‘Max Bet’ button, which can be pressed to allow you to reach this level instantly, while an ‘Autoplay’ button is also incorporated, giving you the chance to spin the reels up to 999 consecutive times at the same wager level.

Watch Out for the Policeman

As noted, security is pretty tight at the museum mansion, but fortunately enough, Playson has incorporated a couple of special features into it in order to assist you with your heist. There’s the wild symbol in the first instance, which is represented by the ornately designed jewellery box. As a wild, this stands in for any other icon on the reels, and five of them on a single pay line will ensure that you receive a maximum pay out of 300 coins. The only symbol this will not substitute for is the bonus icon.

And, as far as the bonus icon is concerned, this is also a scatter symbol, represented by the framed painting. Bonus wins are paid independently of bet lines and this one multiplies your wager placed by 300 times your total bet for five of them coming into view.

Extra features take place during the game as well, such as the robber’s pathway. During the base round, the thief will move forwards and backwards on the game field, but he’ll only do this when influenced by particular symbols. Freespins are triggered when he reaches the end of his pathway. When the thief, known as Vincenzo (because, why not?), appears in the same cube as the security phone, he’ll move between one and three steps forward. Appearing in the same cube as a wild will add one to two freespins to the counter, while appearing in the same cube as the scatter will trigger the bonus game. The Egyptian mummy will repel Vincenzo two steps back, while the security guard will detain him for three spins.

Once you’re at the end, you’ll be guaranteed 10 freespins (plus any gathered from the thief’s path), which features stacked wilds as well. And if you have triggered the bonus game during the pathway challenge, you need to guess which room the discharge switch is located in, switch it off and steal the world famous masterpiece to gain a super bonus!

The Final Word

This one has everything. Thrills. Spills. Slot gameplay. A background game led by the robber. Freespins. A bonus round. And it’s all provided with top quality graphics and design. Perfect!
