Star Cash sounds like the name of some simple but yet trivial 1980s TV show. Fortunately, it isn’t. Instead it’s an intriguing enough slot game from the Game Art company. It really doesn’t follow any sort of theme, except for the fact that it has currency symbols on its reels. This takes care of the ‘Cash’ side of the title. Everything seems to take place in outer space though, with a deep blue background complete with distant stars able to be seen. The music that plays whenever you spin the reels also takes on some kind of futuristic sci-fi genre. So, it’s basically like playing a 1980s television show with reels in outer space. Perhaps not the most appealing of themes to undertake, although we know some people who enjoy the thrill of nostalgia. If you don’t manage to achieve such feelings while playing Star Cash, you may want to move on to the next in the slot game reviews.

Symbols of Currency!

As far as the layout of the game goes, this is available to see as a five reel and three row interface. Therefore, you’ll have a fairly standard slot game interface to access. These reels play home to various different icons, which, as we said, mainly feature currency symbols. So, you’ll be able to see a dollar sign, a Euro symbol and a British pound icon. There’s also the symbol for Japanese Yen and one or two more. Joining these particular symbols, you’ll find a triple BAR icon and a number 7. These give the game a bit of a traditional slot machine influence. Other icons are also available in the game, but they offer up some of its special features.

Alongside the various reels, rows and symbols, players will find that there are 10 separate pay lines in the game as well. This is not a feature of the game that you’re able to customise though. So, you will always be betting on such an amount. However, you do have the option of changing the wager that you place per spin. This is done by using the plus and minus buttons at either side of the ‘Bet Per Line’ box. There, you can alter the value between £0.01 and £0.50. This allows you to place a maximum overall wager of £5 per spin. You can also make use of an ‘Autoplay’ button, which provides the opportunity to spin the reels up to 500 consecutive times.

Cash and Stars

The base game isn’t the only feature of the Star Cash offering. And any great slot game provides its players with wonderful special features as well. And while this one does manage to incorporate a couple of intriguing extras, it’s not quite as filled as many others. The main addition to this game is the wild symbol. It is the star with multiple colours on it that represents this icon. As a wild symbol, this will substitute for any other icon on the reels. This assists you in forming winning combinations. However, this isn’t the only feature of the wild icon.

Whenever the wild manages to form a win for you, it will also hold the reels that it appears on. Then, a re-spin of the remaining reels sets off in motion. The wild only shows up on reels two, three and four, but if further wilds appear on the re-spin, the process triggers again. This symbol is the only additional offering that the game provides to players. And even though it has a couple of features to it, it still feels less than what other slots provide.

The Final Word

Star Cash certainly provides somewhat of an entertaining game option. It features a nice selection of high quality graphics. And even though the wild icon is the only additional feature, it’s still quite an intriguing offering on the whole.
