Upcoming Exciting New Slots for June 2019

No rest for the weary – the Summer of 2019 will start off with a blast, with no less than 6 new slots that will ease us into the next month. The hectic Spring that we are slowly leaving behind has given us a foretaste of the kind of pace and direction the developers are planning for the upcoming season. The featuring theme for this year seems to be retro and lots of it, with a few exceptions that incline towards adventure and more cinematic quality. This is, of course, just a portion of what we can expect in the weeks to come, so stay tuned for the new releases that are about to be launched…

Microgaming – Lara Croft® Temples and Tombs™

Lara Croft Temples And TombsDefinitely one of the most anticipated titles of the season, Lara Croft Temples and Tombs is a sequel to Microgaming’s earlier Lara Croft-inspired slots, released in 2004 (Tomb Raider) and 2008 (Tomb Raider – Secret of the Sword). Obviously, the latest edition from the series is (as expected) visually superior, and the designers have done an excellent job in adapting the story to a gaming interface and conveying the ambience of the movie.

The slot features Rolling Reels mechanics and offers amazing winning potential, introducing 3 progressive jackpots – Minor, Major, and Grand. Every next winning spin will improve the payout odds, initiating the Multiplier Trail and thus upgrading the multiplier value according to the following pattern:

  • 1st winning spin – x1
  • 2nd winning spin (in a row) – x2
  • 3rd winning spin (in a row) – x5
  • Every next winning spin – x5

Multiplying value is even higher during the Free Spins, starting with x3 and accumulating up to x15.

The Wild symbols are collected throughout the base game spins, contributing to the player’s odds of triggering one of the jackpots. Once the feature is activated, the payout is guaranteed, and the amount will be determined by the revolving puzzle that can be assembled in three different colours, each corresponding to one of the progressive jackpots.

Habanero – Magic Oak

Magic OakAnother progressive jackpot release, Magic Oak by Habanero does not introduce any paylines; instead, the payouts in this fantasy-themed slot are generated every time a cluster of at least 4 symbols is formed across the reels. Creatures of the forest are the high-value icons, generating between $600 and $12,500 for a cluster of 15 symbols. The payout will, of course, depend on the type of the animal that forms a combination – the Wild icon is the highest paying icon, followed by the Owl, the Squirrel, the Boar, the Racoon, the Rabbit, and the Fox (listed here according to the monetary value, highest to lowest).

Any spin can trigger the Wisp Feature, where blue and yellow light particles replace the icons with the Wilds. The Wisps are being collected throughout the game and can be triggered either randomly or after a player accumulates a total of 6 (a maximum of 2 blue and 4 yellow). Free Spins can also be activated, but unfortunately, this feature cannot be retriggered.

Pariplay – Goldorado

Pariplay - GoldoradoFor a brief moment, it almost seemed like the slots inspired by the colourful heritage of ancient civilizations were decreasing in popularity, but Pariplay came to the rescue with their latest 25-payline slot Goldorado.

The slot is played across 6×5 reel grid, or, to be more accurate, two separate 3×5 grids which are merged into a single platform during the Free Spins. The Totem that separates the two smaller grids is actually the one triggering the bonuses and randomly activating one of the following features:

Symbol Swap – base game feature during which the Totem swallows the low-paying symbols and replaces them with the higher paying icons;

Mirror Stacked Wilds – a stack of 5 Wild icons anywhere on one of the two grids will be mirrored on the opposing position. An extra perk of this feature is that the Totem can tilt, potentially revealing additional Wilds.

Free Spins are activated when the players collect 8 golden coins, which are stored at the top of the screen (four for each of the two grids). The number of spins (10, 15, or 20) is determined through a picking game and while the session is in progress, the Totem will award additional Wilds with up to x5 multiplying value.

Play’n GO – Sabaton

If you are in a mood for something completely different (and by that, we mostly mean hard, raw, and edgy), you will be quite pleased with the latest Play’n GO release, paying a tribute to the gods of Swedish power metal, the legendary Sabaton!

The slot is played on a standard 5×3 reel set, which can become “chained” at any point of the base game. When that happens, up to 3 columns will merge and sync to display the matching icons.

The Last Stand is another randomly triggered bonus during which any two reels can become Wild. Unlike the Chained Reels, the Last Stand can be unlocked in the main game and while the Battalion Spins are in progress. Any of the icons can become a Mystery Symbol and form Metal Stacks during the bonus rounds, but only the band members can increase in size and transform into Mega Symbols after a bonus feature is initiated.

Red Tiger Gaming – Reel King Mega

Red Tiger Gaming - Reel King MegaCreated as a collaborative project between Astra Games and Red Tiger, Reel King Mega is a light, retro slot, inspired by the classic fruit machine aesthetics. The mechanics of the game is rather simple, as is the visual representation.

Still, the slot can hardly be classified as flat or unentertaining – thanks to the low variance, Reel King Mega will keep you engaged every step of the way, especially when the Reel King bonus is activated. The entire grid will then turn yellow and the featuring character will appear on the grid holding its own mini slot with only a single line. This is actually a minimalistic version of Free Spins, which will last for as long as the winning combinations are being formed. Look out for the King’s Crown symbol which can pop up at any moment, hitting other icons and transforming them into Wilds.

Yggdrasil Gaming – Niagara Falls

Niagara FallsRetro slot in its finest form, Niagara Falls by Yggdrasil is high variance, 20-payline slot, designed to replicate the charm of the old Liberty Bell machines – the kind that’s now on display in museums as a historical artefact.

In addition to the exceptional visuals, which the developer managed to deliver despite the arguably unchallenging theme, Niagara Fall will keep the players engaged with a great set of bonuses:

Coin Drop Bonus – triggered when a gold coin lands on the reels, leaving a trail of more coins and hitting one of the following features:

  • Wild – all coins in the trail will be replaced by Wilds
  • Free Spins – up to 5 bonus rounds will be unlocked
  • Shake – a shake bonus is added
  • Stacked Spin – a respin with stacked icons is initiated
  • Multiplier Bonus – a payout is multiplied by x2, x3, x4, or x5

Niagara Falls Free Spins Bonus – 5 Free Spins with Wild reels;

Cash Fall Bonus – a random feature which, just like Coin Drop bonus, can only be unlocked in the main game. The tumbling coins are added to the meter, and, if a Super Coin happens to land, an x2 multiplier will be applied.
